Paul Hickey
CEO/Co-Founder, Green Moose Capital
Paul graduated from BYU in 1988 with a bachelor’s degree in Business and minors in Economics and Accounting. He has been an angel investor and entrepreneur for 28 years. He was the founder/CEO of QComm, Inc. in 1996 which he took from startup to a successful IPO in 2003. He co-founded a boutique investment bank, Hickey Freihofner Capital, LLC in 2006 and co-founded a pre-IPO fund, Coron Capital, LLC in 2009.
Paul was introduced to crypto in 2014 when he took over as the interim CEO of Granite Mountain Technologies, LLC (GMT), a low power semiconductor software solution company. GMT developed a low power 12 nm Bitcoin mining ASIC chip which Paul successfully raised money for. He did a Tedx talk on Bitcoin in 2015 and has advised on several different crypto projects. Paul brings a rare combination of skills and knowledge to his new market neutral defi yield fund, Green Moose Capital, with his 8 years of experience in crypto and 22 years of experience in finance and Wall Street.
